"Not Broken"

When I first received my diagnosis, even in the moment I read it I remember feeling a sense of peace, confidence and assurance. God has been so faithful to me for so long and I feel faith wise we have grown so much- that going through something like this...its not always easy..but to not have fear, anxiety or doubt..its amazing. Only God can do that. Sure I have my "down" days I am only human..but I have Jesus to lean on..that makes all the difference... I do however remember in a shakey voice telling my husband, "I'm sorry you had to marry a broken/defective woman. I'm sorry I can't give you what you have wanted for so long like we thought I could. I'm sorry I don't work right..." And I meant it..but you know what? Not only has God blessed me with moments to grow the faith I have today...He has blessed me with the most amazing husand. To have a man by my side who won't let me relish in self pity, who tells me I was created just perfect and he wouldn't have me any other way...is more than I could have ever prayed for.. We are NOT BROKEN. This is just another route we have to take to acheive the family we know that God has planned for us..and I will gladly take it if it means walking in His will...I want to make my God..my husband..and my children proud. And if I must be broken, I pray it is only before God. For only He can make me whole again. We are NOT BROKEN. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds"-Psalm 147:3 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"-Psalm 34:18
